About Me

My name is Matt, and I'm a robotics engineer and maker with a passion for solving problems, learning new things, and sharing knowledge. Welcome to my corner of the internet where I share my projects, experience, and engineering journey.

What I Do

My work spans across multiple domains of engineering. I'm particularly interested in:

  • Autonomous Robotics: Developing intelligent systems that can operate in complex environments
  • Integrated Systems: Combining mechanical, electrical, and software components to create cohesive systems
  • Making & Prototyping: Building physical prototypes and exploring fabrication technologies
  • Embedded Systems: Designing and developing smart, connected devices

My Approach

I strongly believe in learning by doing. Whether it's building a new robot from scratch, spinning up new smart devices, or diving deep into the mechanics of robotic systems, I approach each project with curiosity and a commitment to understanding the fundamentals while getting my hands dirty.

This portfolio / blog serves as both a documentation of my projects and a place to share insights that might help other makers and engineers on their own journeys.

Beyond Engineering

When I'm not at work, you'll find me building and fighting combat robots, playing chess and piano, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
